Sometimes beginner-level students confuse the most basic tenses:
Me: Oh, you got a new haircut!
K: Yes, yes! I will look like a gentleman!
Me: You 'will' look like a gentleman? So... now, you don't look like a gentleman?
K (enthusiastically): Oh, thank you!!
I just cracked up.
He was all 'nani? nani?!' ('what? what?!') The manager had to explain to him...
